School Advocacy Services
At Advanced Behavioral Solutions (ABS), we are available to consult regarding your child's IEP or 504 Plan, attend special team meetings, conduct Functional Behavior Analysis, collaborate with school staff regarding academic and social-emotional learning goals, help facilitate the implementation of interventions, and progress monitor outcomes. ABS can assist at any time with any one of these services or guide your family throughout the entire process from beginning to end. Whether in public or private schools, from early intervention through college, our collaborative and supportive approach will:
- help empower both parents and students to increase awareness regarding your child's or teen's educational needs,
- inspire positive interactions with school personnel,
- make positive changes for the benefit of all involved.
If you are a parent or guarding with any questions or concerns regarding any aspect of your child's/teen's educational plan, please call us to begin a discussion or attend our FREE seminar
(Advocating For Your Child in the Schools). This seminar reviews basic steps through referral process, school assessment, and determining eligibility; cuts through the jargon (IEP, 504 plan, OHI, etc.), discusses latest trends (RTI), and what that means for your child/teen; provides tips for navigating IEP meetings; and reviews general school resources (Parent Advocates, PTA Groups, Guidance Counselors, requesting due process). Check the seminar page for updated dates and times.
