Clinical Staff 

Judy Kafka Tisdall, Psy.D., LCPC earned both her Masters and Doctoral Degrees from the Adler School of Professional Psychology in Chicago, Illinois, and holds certificates in both cognitive-behavioral therapy and marriage/family therapy.  Dr. Tisdall has owned and operated Advanced Behavioral Solutions since 1997 in both Northwest and Southwest Suburbs.  As Director of Clinical Training and Supervision, Dr. Tisdall is also a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who earned a Bachelors Degree from the University of California at Berkeley in California where she worked for seven years in management training and consulting.  Dr. Tisdall received her clinical training at Advocate Healthcare, the Childhood Trauma Treatment Program, Columbia River Edge Hospital, Seguin Services, Christ Hospital Emergency Medical Center, Pediatric Care, and Diagnostic Services Associates.  Dr. Tisdall worked as a counselor at Moraine Valley Community College in Palos Hills, Illinois, providing a wide range of counseling services to college students and the community, as well as worked as an adjunct professor in the psychology department.  Dr. Tisdall works extensively with couples, families, children, adolescents, and adults, and specializes in treating individuals with Depression and Anxiety Disorders, ADHD, Autism, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and Panic Disorder.  She also administers psychological testing, ADHD evaluations, executive function tutoring, and is passionate about providing career/vocational assessments.  Additionally, Dr. Tisdall and her clinical team provide Immediate Risk Assessment Services to school districts within the Northwest Suburbs.

David N. Hunt, Psy.D. earned both his Doctoral and Masters Degrees from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Hunt earned a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Saint Louis University in Saint Louis, Missouri and an Associate’s Degree from Holy Cross College in Notre Dame, Indiana. He completed his clinical training at Shapiro Developmental Center in Kankakee, Illinois (State hospital for individuals with severe Developmental Disability in Illinois), Saint Dorothy’s Roman Catholic School in Chicago, IL, and DePaul University’s University Counseling Services in Chicago, Illinois. He completed his doctoral internship at Pillars Community Services in Berwyn, Illinois and his postdoctoral fellowship in Neuropsychology at a private practice in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. Additionally, Dr. Hunt has worked in a pediatric partial hospitalization program, as a domestic violence advocate, and in an emergency department. Dr. Hunt has spoken nationally on a range of topics including Learning Disabilities, Autism, Depression, and Bipolar Disorder. Dr. Hunt works extensively with children, adolescents, families, and adults. He specializes in treating individuals with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, as well as individuals with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Executive Functioning Deficits, Addictions, Learning Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorders, and severe behavioral disorders. Dr. Hunt also administers psychological evaluations and is passionate about school advocacy. 


Joey Williams, M.S., Post Doctoral Candidate at Advanced Behavioral Solutions, is dually trained in both School and Clinical Psychology, and trained in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), the foremost behavioral treatment for Autism Spectrum Disorders.  She specializes in providing psychotherapy and psychological testing to children, adolescents, and adults.  Joey is educated in Life Space Crisis Intervention (LSCI), an advanced crisis method that provides her with additional specialization in dealing with behavioral disorders and crisis response intervention.  She earned her Master's Degree and her Bachelor's Degree from Oklahoma State, and has completed her Doctoral Degree albeit her dissertation.
